The Taliban’s new defence minister has issued a rebuke over misconduct by some commanders and fighters following the motion’s victory over the Western-backed authorities in Afghanistan final month, saying abuses wouldn’t be tolerated.

Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob stated in an audio message that some “miscreants and infamous former troopers” had been allowed to hitch Taliban items the place they’d dedicated a spread of typically violent abuses.

It was not clear exactly which incidents he was referring to, nor what prompted the message, which was revealed on Taliban Twitter accounts and extensively shared on social media.
