Three friends on a fishing journey battled for half-hour to herald a 97 stone Blue Marlin which is the second largest ever caught within the Atlantic.
The South African trio, Ben Vorster, Gerhardt Vorster, and Michiel Ross spent six days fishing within the Cape Verdes islands and it was on the ultimate day that they captured the ocean monster.
They’re pictured on an Instagram pic within the shadows of the large 97 stone Blue Marlin which was 12 toes lengthy.
The Cape Verdes islands are a sizzling mattress for Blue Marlin with many fishermen heading to the archipelago, positioned off the coast of Senegal and Mauritania, annually.
However the three from South Africa by no means imagined that they’d be celebrating the seize of such an enormous fish.

It was 50-year-old Ben Vorster who was the angler on the reel when the Blue Marlin took maintain after the captain of the boat Ryan “Roo” Williamson had “teased” the massive Blue Marlin up from the depths with what appear like small fish for them to feed on.
Ben wrestled with the huge fish on the reel and it took him about half-hour to convey the Blue Martin onto the boat.
