The falling value of Bitcoin is affecting investors all over the world.
It’s putting increased pressure on the Central American state of El Salvador, which nine months ago made cryptocurrency legal tender.
As legal tender it should be accepted in all shops, you can now buy almost anything in Bitcoin, from pizza to real estate.
The government has encouraged people to use Bitcoin by giving $30 to each person who signs up for a government-sponsored Bitcoin wallet – and offering treatment for pets at a cost of just 25 cents for those who pay in Bitcoin.
But aside from some pockets of enthusiasm, people do not seem to be embracing the cryptocurrency as much as their Bitcoin-loving president who is under increasing criticism for investing so much public money in the project.

I you use a currency that is not tied to your country wealth you actually expose yourself to all kinds of unexpected macroeconomics risks, importing all the bitcoin fluctuations that you have no control on it. On the other hand bitcoin is the money laundry heaven so dirty money can make it to El Salvador that may even find its way in some meaningful projects.

Crypto is risky as many would say but I think the actual risk in Crypto is not investing, buying the capitulation isn't a tough call, but it is a very tough call to figure out what to do aside holding. I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time
