A 13-year-old girl from Edmonton who went missing more than a week ago is back with her family, following an exhaustive international search.
The girl disappeared after leaving her home for school, and was only found on Saturday.
A 41-year-old Oregon man is now in custody and facing charges of child luring in connection with her disappearance.

Well thank God they found her. Man the parents must be feeling relief I cannot imagine what that poor little girl had to endure with this creep. How does a man like with his record even be able to cross the border is what I'd like to know?

It is very hard to get out of these jails, and one of the few ways to get released is chemical castration. It is good for us that he went to the USA and got caught, as Canada has very lenient sentencing.
They gotta revamp some rules with border crossing. Children should only be allowed to cross with the parents or someone who is of some sort of legal guardianship. It just baffles me how this even happened. I'm assuming she had her passport right. Once the search goes beyond the country, shouldn't they have went to the airport and look up the history of who all crossed and have made the search end earlier?
PARENTS, If this isn’t a clear reminder to be constantly monitoring your child’s online activity I don’t know what is. They may hate you for it, but at least you’ll see their face hating you as opposed to the alternative.
