Panda Bonds Explained: Why Brazil Is Embracing China’s Yuan | Vantage with Palki Sharma | N18G

Brazil is turning to China for capital. President Lula da Silva’s government plans to issue Panda Bonds – debt sold in Chinese yuan to Chinese investors. This move not only diversifies Brazil’s borrowing but also challenges the dominance of the US dollar. As BRICS gains momentum and trust in Washington fades, Panda Bonds are becoming a symbol of a shifting world order. Palki Sharma explains the implications.

Australia entered a friendly relationship and tied its economy to China. Australia has become a much-much-much richer, per capita, economy due to the partner relationship. Why cant India stop supporting the West and lock arms with its Eastern Neighbor? Instead, it lacks ANY meaningful diplomacy to adjust its wannabee CASTE system holding it back from any rise from the poverty it exist in. I have failed to understand WHY they join BRICS at the outset…EXCEPT to be a "spy" for the US which is now under control within a Fascism versus its past Democracy. I cannot figure if India is either 'blind' or just 'stupid'???

  41. @ttemp2631 says:

this woman totally missed the point. let met tell you. it's actually very questionable why brazil would want to borrow in USD.
borrowing in RMB is almost 3x cheaper than in USD and brazil has a big trade surplus with china. so the currency risk is entirely covered with trade surplus while brazil has a trade deficit with USA
