Chris Smith’s Move to Parallel Universe
After jumping between two worlds in the first half of Season 2, Chris Smith decides to live in a parallel universe. The new dimension gives him everything he wants. His brother is alive, he has a romantic connection with Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), and he gains fame. Smith left a letter for Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) at the dimensional portal.
Smith’s friends are not ready to let him go. Adebayo, Adrian (Freddie Stroma), Harcourt, and John Economos (Steve Agee) plan to find him and bring him back. The team prepares to face the challenges of the alternate dimension.
Peacemaker Season 2 Writing and Direction
All eight episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 were written by James Gunn. He directed three episodes, including the first episode of the season. Peacemaker is the first original DC show to premiere on HBO Max. Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max’s head of original content, confirmed this.

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
In Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 5, Chris leaves his original world. He parts ways with Harcourt, Adebayo, and the team to pursue a life as a superhero in the alternate universe.
Chris had a painful conversation with Harcourt, who clarified her feelings. He was later apprehended by A.R.G.U.S. and beaten by Rick Flag Sr. Economos intervened to release him. Chris wrote in a letter that he did not believe in redemption. Judomaster followed him into the new dimension.
Harcourt promises to bring him back. The 11th Street Kids regroup to uncover the truth about the alternate universe.
