The Kharai are a uncommon breed of camel discovered within the salt marshes of Kutch district within the western state of Gujarat, India.
They swim as much as three kilometres within the shallow seas to achieve their grazing land – the area’s mangroves. However now native herdsmen say it is taking longer and getting tougher to seek out mangroves the place camels can graze.
They declare salt corporations are blocking tidal waters and slowly drying up the mangroves. That is endangering the lives of the camels in addition to their future.
