As an American, I am happy when people talk about 9/11 in a way that doesn’t generalize or criticize. So many of us here were not for the oncoming wars, and whenever people make 9/11 into an opportunity to criticize American civilians (not the government) it saddens me greatly. 9/11, unfortunately, did start a wave of anger which we still feel, but so many of us here just want to grieve. It has been 20 years, as humans (in every nation) we must do better and be there for one another. And we must recognize that people have autonomy and do not speak for their governments. The same goes for those in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc., so many of them died for nothing.
