The UAE allegedly put NSO’s Pegasus adware on the cellphone of an official within the workplace of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 10 Downing Avenue, Residents Lab on the College of Toronto studies.
In keeping with “The New Yorker” journalist Ronan Farrow, the adware was used to contaminate a tool related to the No. 10 community in July 2020.
The infiltration was thought to have been ordered by the UAE authorities, though British cybersecurity officers, who checked and cleared Johnson’s cellphone, by no means came upon whose system it was.

“After we discovered the No. 10 case, my jaw dropped,” stated John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher on the Toronto-based Citizen Lab, which has been monitoring using Pegasus. The Israeli agency NSO has since blocked use of the software program in opposition to US or UK numbers.
