Anti-war protesters in Poland doused the nation’s Russian ambassador in crimson paint on Monday at a Victory Day ceremony marking the 77th anniversary of the top of the Second World Battle.
Ambassador Sergey Andreev was attending a wreath-laying ceremony at a Warsaw cemetery the place he and workers had been surrounded by demonstrators chanting “fascists”, “killers”, “disgrace” and “f*** Putin.”
Drenched in crimson splatter, Ambassador Andreev advised the cameras that caught the second, “I’m pleased with my nation and my president.”
