Paraná’s state unstoppable rise to Brazil’s top regions

Paraná has emerged as a key player in both domestic and global markets, making significant contributions to Brazil’s growth.

With advancements in infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, energy, and education, Paraná boasts Brazil’s fourth-highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and tops the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb).

Governor Ratinho Junior believes that Paraná’s success stems from strategic planning inspired by developed countries worldwide.

He stated, “We’ve realized that we can be the global supermarket and South America’s logistics hub.”

Emphasizing the importance of long-term planning, he shared these insights during the ‘Paraná in Perspective: Challenges and Opportunities’ event, discussing infrastructure projects crucial to the state’s growth.

According to the Governor, Paraná’s success attracts investors and enriches its residents’ lives.

“We rank fourth in GDP and lead in education. These achievements reflect the state’s wealth, ensuring improved living conditions, better health, and tangible prospects,” Ratinho Junior said.

Highlighting two core areas for Paraná’s development, the Governor emphasized food production as a global focus.

He added, “We aim to be globally recognized in food production, which not only boosts the economy but also addresses the United Nations’ call for Brazil to combat global food insecurity.”

Further, he stressed the importance of logistics. “We’re positioned at the heart of South America’s GDP.

It’s essential to have a logistics strategy that provides global opportunities for Paraná.

We’re working towards becoming South America’s logistics center, beginning with efficient port and airport restructuring.”

Ratinho Junior expressed concerns about the increasing migration from smaller cities to the state capital.

He believes in a more decentralized approach, where small towns offer similar living standards to the larger cities.

“Our goal is to ensure prosperity in every corner of Paraná,” he concluded.
