Biden fist bumps Saudi crown prince, says he raised Jamal Khashoggi’s murder upon meeting
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

U.S. President Joe Biden said he brought up the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in his meeting Friday with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, rejecting the idea that he was ignoring the kingdom’s human rights abuses as he tries to reset a critical diplomatic relationship.

“I said, very straightforwardly, for an American president to be silent on an issue of human rights is inconsistent with who we are and who I am,” Biden said. “I’ll always stand up for our values.”

U.S. intelligence believes that the crown prince likely approved the killing of Khashoggi, a U.S.-based writer, four years ago. Biden said Prince Mohammed claimed that he was “not personally responsible” for the death. “I indicated I thought he was,” the president said in reply.

Answering a reporter’s question about Khashoggi’s death and the criticism he faced for sharing a fist bump with the crown prince upon their meeting earlier that day, Biden said “God love you. What a silly question. How could I possibly be sure of any of that? I just made it clear if anything occurs like that again they’ll get that response and much more.”

It was the first meeting between the two leaders and their relationship could reshape security partnerships in the Middle East and the flow of oil worldwide.

I mean, I don't agree with the guys politics or think he's a good president but it seems to me there isn't much they could be doing in regards to the Khashoggi incident given the need to work with the prince going forward.

Fist bumping a murderer, how classy.
I swear America has no morals, funny how everyone is against Russia in their illegal war but no one called America when they were slaughtering 370,000 in a sense of millions in the Middle East, where is there a war trials? Any of them being held accountable for the atrocities they committed in the Middle East during their illegal operation in wars? All war criminals need to be brought to justice not just the ones America doesn’t like

WASHINGTON: The fiancee of Jamal Khashoggi said that President Joe Biden had enabled Saudi Arabia’s crown prince to take more victims after the US leader met and fist-bumped the man accused of ordering the journalist’s murder.

In the form of what she imagined as a tweet by Khashoggi, Hatice Cengiz wrote to Biden, “Is this the accountability you promised for my murder? The blood of MBS’s next victim is on your hands.”.

Biden : The oil, the oil you have, … which I really care …. is more democratic than Russian's…. I can certify it as democratic oil.

The bipartisan NOPEC bill would change U.S. antitrust law to revoke the sovereign immunity that has long protected OPEC and its national oil companies from lawsuits.

If signed into law, the U.S. attorney general would gain the ability to sue the oil cartel or its members, such as Saudi Arabia, in federal court. Other producers like Russia, which works with OPEC in wider group known as OPEC+ to withhold output, could also be sued..

It must seem very strange to joe biden making all those oversea trips now an not making money for the biden family, too much active press now to hid Hunter in the back room, cutting those family enrichment plans. If you have noticed he has very little to say, or do, and seems to wonder about, and is even unsure why he is there, yet, keeps trying to shake hands with some invisible man. He is a total embarrassment to our Nation, our Allie, the peace policies Trump negotiated.
