Google accused of ‘unjustly retaliating’ towards worker who criticised Israel navy contract

Google has been accused of “unjustly retaliating” towards an worker who criticised Undertaking Nimbus, a $1.2bn contract between Google, Amazon Net Providers, and the Israeli navy and authorities.

Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, who represents Silicon Valley, wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai in December saying that “staff have a proper to voice their objections in regards to the work of their employer, with out going through threat of retaliation”.
Google has denied the allegations, with an organization spokesperson saying: “We totally investigated this worker’s claims and located there was no retaliation.”
