The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) overwhelmingly voted on Thursday in favor of a decision aimed toward guaranteeing accountability and attaining justice in Palestine, the Palestinian Ministry of Overseas Affairs and Expatriates introduced in an announcement.
The Palestinian Ministry welcomed the UNHRC Decision, thanking the member states that had voted in favor of the draft decision submitted by the State of Palestine, and including that the vote displays “the principled place of the member states on the significance of accountability of the Israeli colonial and apartheid regime”.

Based on the assertion, 37 nations have voted in favor of the Decision, together with Arab and European nations, China and necessary nations in Africa and Asia, whereas seven nations have abstained, particularly Ukraine, the UK, Cameroon, the Marshall Islands, India, Nepal and Honduras. Malawi, Brazil, and the US voted in opposition to the decision.
The Ministry stated that “the worldwide consensus and the vote in favor of Palestine’s resolutions is a type of safety for the Palestinian individuals and preserving their rights, which might finally result in the dismantling of the Israeli apartheid regime.”

The Ministry urged the worldwide group “to carry Israel and Israeli warfare criminals to account,” and confused that “the coverage of double requirements and selectivity in implementing the principles of worldwide legislation will undermine the rule-based worldwide order”.
